Course Work
This is a project I did in my Non Linear Video Editing. I loved doing this project because the professor gave me complete freedom of creativity to edit the clips that he gave the class. This project aligned with number 11 in the 16 Core Competencies in CHSOC which is "Apply tools and technologies appropriate for the communication professions in which they work. In this class he taught us about the different editing softwares and techniques to capture and audiences attention. We worked in Adobe Premiere Pro in which professional companies use for projects. All in all, I loved this class and this project was agreat way for me to expand in my creative skills.
This was a project that I did in my Directing class. It was a very interesting class because I took this course when covid happened. I had a whole different idea and concept and ended up having to change it because we went home. For this project, I was the Cinematographer, Editor, and Director. This demonstrated number six of the 16 core compentencies in CHSOC which is "Think critically, creatively, and independently. We had to think critically about how we wanted to convey our stories in such a short time and with no equipment, creatively because we had to use our close environment and resources to put the production together, and independently because it was assigned individually. This was a great class and I'm glad the professor taught us how to stay on our toes and THINK.
I had to do this assignment for my Producing for Television and Film class. We had to come up with a business proposal for a production company and describe what it will be. This resonates with number 13 in the 16 Core Competencies in CHSOC which states, "Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of entrepreneurship and intraprenuership." In this class, the professor taught us about what it means to own your own production and company and what goes into to starting one. I loved this class a lot because this is a goal that I have for myself in the future and I feel like I have a base of understanding of what I need to do to be successful .
